Our recently-retired Children’s Librarian found this while she was cleaning out her office a few months ago. It’s a copy of a note sent by Laura Ingalls Wilder to Jean Waldron of Missoula. It’s hard to make out the date, but it looks like it was sent in 1952, just five years before Wilder’s death. Check out how much a stamp cost back then! Our librarian has no idea how she got a copy of the note or why she saved it, but we’re sure glad she did.
